Position Overview:
Our Inside Sales Representative are the front line in interfacing with our customers and therefore must be reliable, willing to work with and help other team members. have a sense of urgency, strong communication skills, plus be able to multitask.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers
- Prepare timely, accurate, and thorough quotes
- Enter quotes and follow up accordingly
- Provide excellent customer service
- Team Player and support coworkers
Requirements:
- Detail-oriented individual with a minimum of 2 years inside sales experience
- Strong communication skills (Active listening skills especially)

Application Engineer
Position Overview:
Application Engineer
The Applications Engineer will be responsible for developing material handling application solutions in support of Conveyors and Drives, Inc. (C&D) organizational sales channels. The Applications Engineer will achieve this goal by estimating all equipment, controls, and installation services of the project to meet internal as well as external customer expectations through the proposal and presentation phase. The solutions require an in-depth knowledge of the material handling solutions from the basics to the highly complex integrated systems.
Responsibilities:
- Attend the initial project kick-off meeting with the sales team to collect and analyze required field data (product specifications, the sequence of the operation, facility measurements, interferences, project restrictions, etc.) to understand the concepts and start the estimating process.
- Develop initial design drawing concepts using AutoCAD and secure multiple competitive estimates of equipment and implementation services for sellable customer solutions.
- Provide alternative design solutions to customer’s proposed solutions and ensure all proposed solutions adhere to customer equipment specifications and C&D’s requirements.
- Identify specific customer needs, specifications, and preferences related to the application.
- Generate timely accurate budgetary and firm proposals at C&D’s target profit margins to all C&D sales channels and customers.
- Effectively communicate application solution concept and estimates to Project Manager for implementation, by holding project turnover meetings.
- Act as a technical advisor to all departments.
- Well organized, detail-oriented.
- Strong Excel skills, (VBA and macro development a plus).
- A team player who can work well in a multitasking environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial).
- 5+ years of experience in material handling application development and sales.
- CAD proficient
- Understanding conveyor design requirements and concept control requirements to achieve optimal operation of equipment (use of sensors, scanners, controllers)
- Developing controls design drawings (electrical schematics) and panel designs & efforts required
- Understanding or participation in programming logical controllers
- Experience with sensor detections devices/scanners, etc.… (SICK, Cognex, others?)
